Stroeja presents:
NIEM NITAI (Spain)
Live in Sofia
============
Based in Barcelona and comprising top-class South American musicians, Niem Nitai presents a powerful fusion of ska, reggae, cumbia, Balkan music and gypsy punk. This blend, which they describe as “Latin Balkan”, results in a show that is 100% danceable, explosive and of international appeal.
The project is under the artistic direction of Jean Michel Dercourt – Gambeat (Manu Chao, Radio Bemba), with studio contributions from Gerard Casajús – Chalart58 (La Panchita Records) and Yves Roussel, and audiovisual work by WanderBlack.
Furthermore, Niem Nitai, the project’s leader, often accompanies Manu Chao as a trumpeter at his now iconic surprise concerts around Barcelona.
